Rain!

The last few days, it has been raining like crazy. So much even that we got some leakage in the house, streets were flooded, stuff like that. As it doesn’t rain very often, they don’t have any way of getting the water away quickly. Funny sight though :)

Also, we’ve assembled quite some furniture already. Including a bed, desks, chairs, couch, table and closet :) Finally starting to look like a real house! Hopefully, we’ll finish up the rest somewhere this week.

In the evening, we went out for dinner. At the time we were finished, I got a call from a coworker, as we apparently had some problems with a basestation nearby. So, we drove there to take a look. We ended up testing the indoor unit/wiring, checking temperature (as the “room” was on a small, half-height attic without airco), and other basic stuff. A little later we found out that one of the wires to the outdoor unit snapped/broke off, so we had to solder it together again. Still nothing, but we did see a little spark. Called Gino who got up in the tower, to find the outdoor unit filled with water. Looks like the rain got to it, too. As there wasn’t anything much more to do than replace said unit, I went home again, after a few hours of fiddling with the setup, just to make sure the unit was the only problem there.
